About Us

We’re a great team—loving, happy, committed and excited about becoming Dads! We’ve spent sixteen fantastic years building our lives together. We both grew up walking barefoot in the grass, exploring creek beds and working on family farms in Kentucky. This upbringing created a real love of natural beauty and a desire to care for it—something we hope to pass on to our little one.

Interests

Together we have a variety of interests. We enjoy, traveling, other cultures, all kinds of food, music and art. We also enjoy cooking and entertaining friends and family. We look forward to family nature walks, fishing, boating and teaching our child to love the outdoors like we do. Eric especially enjoys gardening and bird-watching. He’s eager to share with our child the wonders of newly sprouted seedlings and just-hatched baby birds. Jeremy enjoys reading and baking. He’s looking forward to reading Dr. Seuss stories at bedtime. He’s also excited about spending time with our child in the kitchen and sharing the secret of his grandmother’s chocolate chip cookie recipe.

Home

Home is important to us. Together we make it a comfortable, safe place for our child to develop and grow. We’ll do arts and crafts at the kitchen table and learn to ride bikes in the front yard. We live in a safe, child-friendly community just a few minutes from the ocean. We’re looking forward to building sandcastles and trying to dig to China with our child at the beach. Our school district has some of the best public schools in the state and there are excellent private schools in our area too. We’ll have a great time teaching our child the alphabet and the sounds that animals make.

Family

We are both close to our families and love opening our home to friends and family for visits. Our collective family is full of love and is excited about our adoption. Both sides of our family tree have adopted so we know firsthand the benefits and rewards adoption provides.

Eric, the youngest of three boys, has nieces and nephews that can’t wait to have a new cousin to play hide-and-seek with and hang out with at the beach when they visit us in the summer. Jeremy is an only child, but has a large extended family with plenty of aunts, uncles and cousins to offer love and support to our child. We both love animals and think of our pets as an extension of our family. We have three dogs, Tusca, Rivanna and Cedric that will welcome our newest family member with tails and tongues wagging.

Values

We hope to instill values like honesty, dedication, responsibility and independence in our child. We believe it is important to respect the lives, and opinions of those around you and to accept the differences that make us all unique. Raised in the Christian faith, we value the importance that a loving and supportive church community will have on our child. We know our church community is ready and excited to welcome our child with open arms.

To You

Becoming parents is a dream we hope to realize through the miracle of adoption. We feel we can provide a safe, loving and nurturing home for our child. Again, thank you for taking the time to learn a little about us. We wish you health, peace, courage and strength.
